You Can Still Get The Domain Name You Want

When I went about buying my first domain name about twelve years ago, I must admit to being a bit naive, and making a few mistakes.  One of the biggest mistakes, has to be only buying one domain to start with.  Little did I know how hard it would be to find really good domain names for reasonable prices.  Back then, I remember having my pick of pretty much any .com domain name I could come up with.  Well, maybe not any name, but certainly any two word or three word domain name was to be found for a pretty reasonable price.

Fast forward a few years, and it seems like all the good domain names have been taken.  Even a lot of the not so good domain names have been snapped up by domain name speculators in the hopes of striking it rich.  It can make it tough for just a regular guy to get the domain name he wants.  Luckily, more TLD extensions have opened up in the last few years.  .co domain name registration is just one such opportunity for people new to the domain name business to get a start.

Of course once you have your domain name, your going to need to host it somewhere.  Now, web hosting is one such area, that is not as tough for the average webmaster.  If anything, it’s a tough business to be in, but if your looking for good web hosting, then I think you’ll find, that it’s a buyers market.  Web hosting has really come down in price over the years, and could almost be considered a commodity.   I’ve seen good web hosting for anywhere from $25 to $1000 or more per year.  For a new domain with little traffic, it shouldn’t cost much to get started.
