Good Web Design Is In The Details
Like anything in this world done well, it’s the little things that really add up. Meaning of course, that doing a good job usually means paying attention to even the smallest of details on the job. I’m not suggesting, that you need a jewelers eyeglasses to get the job none, but it’s that kind of thinking that can ensure a web site functions and looks it’s best. My earliest career working with computers centered around the programming side of things, so I do have an appreciation for the details of a project. It’s probably also why I ended up wearing prescription glasses as I’ve gotten older. Of course, it could be the fact that everyone in my family has ended up with glasses at some point in their life that led me to this.
One approach to designing a website, that fits well with this approach, is to break the project down into smaller chunks. This approach has multiple advantages. First of all, it make the project seem more doable, and less of a huge task. Secondly, it allows the designers to focus on each individual step on it’s own. That’s one sure way to ensure that all aspects of the process get the attention they deserve. The other thing you can do with this approach, is parcel the project out to several individuals at the same time. This way, things will not only get done better, they’ll also get done faster.
Time to get serious about getting a website. No need to be afraid. Just follow the simple steps. A monkey could do it.
